Detailed Description of the Artwork
The creative process behind this piece began with a deep reflection on our shared future on this planet.
When my daughter was born in November 2016, beyond the immense joy of becoming a father, I found myself — like many before me — asking a fundamental question:
What kind of world are we leaving to our children? What will their future look like?
This question led me to reflect on several major themes: ecology, belief, coexistence, and modernity.
I felt the need to put these ideas down on paper, to express the belief that humanity must learn to live in harmony with nature — or risk disappearing.
Our planet is slowly dying, and it's more urgent than ever to preserve its resources.
Through this artwork, I wanted to express a cry of alarm, a call, a warning —
a signal to our humanity, urging the new generations to write the next chapters of our future with hope and awareness.
Using subtle symbols (visible in the details), I address key issues of our time:
-
Pollution, represented by a plastic bag and a condom floating among jellyfish.
-
Religious symbols, not as calls to war, but as sources of hope and spiritual connection.
-
A mix of animal species, coexisting peacefully, as an invitation to humanity to learn how to live together despite our differences.
-
Toxic waste, electromagnetic waves, and a nuclear bomb, representing the darker side of modernity.
At the center of the composition stands a baby — the human being, fragile yet essential.
This central position connects it to all other forms of life, emphasizing the responsibility we carry to preserve biodiversity.
